Allez Montreal Allez! Founded in 1992, the Impact de Montréal fly the hometown flag for soccer in the province as one of the three main Canadian teams in Major League Soccer. Entering the professional league in 2012 following a residency in the USL, IMFC have made a splash in the transfer market over the years signing international stars Marco Di Vaio, Alessandro Nesta and Didier Drogba who have each left their lasting mark and helped drive the club to new heights. One of those heights includes being the first-ever Canadian team to reach the Final of the CONCACAF Champions League.
Since 2008, Stade Saputo has been their fortress in La Belle Province where playoff battles were won and Voyageur Cups were hoisted. Local boys became provincial heroes wearing the Bleu Blanc et Noir jersey on their backs. Mauro Biello, Nick De Santis and Patrice Bernier have all worn the captain’s armband, etching their names in the club’s history.
